Seeing as I’m spending my year abroad in the tapas capital of the world, I thought it would be a good idea to take a photo every time I tuck into a tapa. Most of the photos below were taken in Granada, where tapas comes free with a drink. Andalusians have a culture which is very ‘outside the house’. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, eating out as friends, family or even work colleagues is an important part of weekly life for many people. Tapas portions are so cheap and so big in Granada (the biggest in fact in Spain) that it sometimes isn’t worth the hassle – and it’s less sociable – to rustle something up in the kitchen at home.
